Once Upon a Time in Chinatown

Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown”.

Final Line of dialogue in the screenplay of Chinatown (1974
Director: Roman Polanski
Writer: Robert Towne

Once Upon a Time in Chinatown is my latest novel, and like Out of Such Darkness it is linked to a film – this time the 1974 classic Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. The novel is about two men. One is in search of a family and the other looking for fulfilment. Like in the film, theirs is a world of deception, where death haunts every step and nothing is what it seems.

The action takes place in London, England; Ipoh and Batu Gajah in Malaysia; and Lisbon, Portugal.

Once Upon a Time in Chinatown‘ was published in both paperback and Kindle formats in April 2020.
